An Der Schilling Brücke
10243 Berlin

Don’t you love summer-time in Berlin? Yes, we do, too. Especially when we can share a cold one with our friends and listen to great music while sitting by the river-side… And this is what the next DENSEHALL is all about! Early enough to catch some sun, but late enough to have a few tasty drinks and party a bit with our great guests! This time we invited some of UK fine…st experimental musicians. Rudi Zygadlo, who is constantly exploring the overlapping borders of pop and dubstep, the legendary Cylob, one of the leading pioneers of post-rave electronica and DJ P45, a fresh young producer and DJ straight from London! But thats not all: MFO, one of Berlin’s leading visual artist collectives, will be seducing your eyes throughout the night with their elaborated visual compositions. Supporting are your favourite bassline scoundrels, Disscoxx and Jade Monkey.

RUDI ZYGADLO (UK // Planet Mu)
http://www.myspace.com/rudizygadlo
Rudi Zygadlo is a musician like no other, taking the fundamentals of Dubstep in a direction that is as unexpected as it is unique, he’s created an amalgamation of pop song writing with Dubstep, rewired using influences as wide as Frank Zappa, Eastern European Classical music and contemporary US Indie, he’s tipped for great things in 2010. He describes his music essentially as a fusion, a form of music he’s had in his head which has brought together his influences into a new format. The music he’s due to release in 2010 sounds effortless and completely natural. ‘Resealable Friendship’ is his debut single followed by his album ‘Great Western Laymen’ which comes out in May.

DJ CYLOB (UK // Rephlex / Cylob Industries)
http://www.cylob.com/
Cylob is the alias of electronic music maker Chris Jeffs. A trombone player in his youth, he progressed to experimenting with electronic music and recording in his late teens.
At first inspired by early 80′s synth-pop, old-school hip-hop and electro, and dance pioneers Art Of Noise, 808 State and LFO, Chris gave a demo tape to Aphex Twin at a gig in early 1993, subsequently signing to his Rephlex label a short time after.
Since his debut, he has released 13 singles and 5 albums on Rephlex, in addition to the EP “Spider Report” for Breakin’ Records.

DJ P45 (UK // Oeuvre / LittleBig)
http://www.myspace.com/djp45
P45’s genre transcending dexterity takes in the experimental Dubstep trip of Vex’d, Industrial Techno of Surgeon, the future glitch of Flying Lotus and the scattered experimental Drum and Bass of Amon Tobin. His true strength, though, lies in the crescendos of layered texture, noise and re-sampled sampling. In a time where people like Mary Anne Hobbs are championing the similarities and crossover between anything electronic, Dubstep, Techno and the Industrial Avant-Garde P45 is your man.

MFO (D // MFOptik)
http://www.mfoptik.de/
MFO is an artist collective that works in the field of visual media. MFO create and play video performances and VJ shows, produce installations and music videos. Founded in 2001 as VJ solo project, MFO finally got a collective in 2008. Different abilities and techniques are combined – always bound to highest quality and originality. MFO performed at festivals like Clubtransmediale (Berlin), Paysages Electroniques (Lille), sperm festival (Prague) or TodaysArt (Den Haag). VJ-shows were played at sound:frame (Vienna), RecMadrid (Madrid), Versch.org (Amsterdam) or c/o Pop (Cologne). In 2008 MFO won the VJ award of the International Videofestival Bochum.
