Two Dense parties in Berlin this week, and we still send the weekly newsletter, ready to keep your ears warm with new sound.

Quite a lot of new releases this week, starting a general consensus of the Dense team for the new album by (Chris) Clark, “Turning Dragon”. On a more home-listening front, we have the new album by the drone / sludge / doom veterans Earth, “The Bees Made Honey In The Lion’s Skull” on Southern Lords, as well as the new live DVD by Pelican. Very interesting are also the three mysterious white label 12″ of Björk remixes, containing some really nice new versions of her tracks by a few known names (stop by the store if you want to know who).
The invasion of the week comes from France, with a lot of Ed Banger, Institubes & co releases coming back in stock, such as the (unmissable) “Cross” album by Justice, or the new Leonard de Leonard 12″.

No rest for the wicked: following the really nice Densefloor 2 with Exillon and Hecq on Monday, the Dense team takes over the NBI again this friday, this time with live shows by Lump200 (Mental Groove) and the Buddy System (Notenuf), plus a DJ set by the Nightwood Soundsystem.

This will all start at 22:00, and takes place at the NBI in the Kulturbrauerei in Prenzlauer Berg (U-Bahn Statin Eberswalder Strasse)

We wrote last week that we were back from the CTM festival, and here’s the proof, with a newsletter with goodies a’plenty for this week.

On the electronic front, the new Exillon album, accurately titled “It’s Ok To Dance” is available right now. And mind you, we liked so much his mixture of acid, IDM and electronica that we invited Exillon for his first German show ever, this Monday (February 11th) for a (free entrance) show at the NBI, together with Berlin’s Hecq and your Dense DJ team. Be there or be square.

Other highlights is an extensive selection from DJ Pinch’s Tectonic label, featuring his own “Underwater Dancehall” album (in stock on both vinyl and CD). Straighter techno fans might rejoice as we got the new Cadenza releases and Ricardo Villalobos 3×12″ “Sei Es Drum”, while people who like it hard and fast will enjoy the new Rotator & Cardopusher and Ladyscraper records.
